Welcome! My name is Peter Landschützer and I am a post-doc researcher at ETH Zürich working for the Institute of Biogeochemistry and Pollutant Dynamics within the Environmental Physics group. If you would like to know the role of the surface ocean within the global carbon cycle and climate change, then look no further. My research is dedicated to the question on what drives the oceanic uptake of CO2 on seasonal, interannual, all the way to decadal timescales.

You can download our latest sea surface pCO2 data from CDIAC:

Latest update: Our most recent work "The reinvigiration of the Southern Ocean carbon sink" is now published in SCIENCE (Vol. 349, no. 6253, pp. 1221-1224
, DOI: 10.1126/science.aab2620). You can access the paper here.
